I got this colander because it fits the Chantal pot I have. It's quite big for my purposes, but the little feet on the bottom are handy and I like the general design. It's perfect for people who cook pasta or vegetables in large volumes.

Chantal Stainless Steel accessories make cooking with Chantal Cookware even easier.This 3-1/2-quart, 10-inch-diameter steamer insert fits within Chantal?s 6-quart casserole or 9-quart stockpot for steaming vegetables and also doubles as a colander for draining cooked pasta or potatoes. The steamer insert is constructed of durable 18/10 stainless steel and has wide rim handles that rest on the edges of the pot and that are easy to lift for removing the insert. Tiny raised feet on the underside of the colander lift it off the bottom of the sink for more thorough drainage.
